DRINK DUNKED DRUNKEN DRUNKARDS
Let me start with the following lines that i once read somewhere:
ON SOME OCCASIONS BEER IS DRUNK
ON SOME OCCASIONS VODKA IS DRUNK
ON SOME OCCASIONS WHISKEY IS DRUNK
ON SOME OCCASIONS RUM IS DRUNK
BUT WHAT IS DRUNK ON EVERY OCCASION???
ITS "YOU"
Throughout my experiences with drunkards in these golden yrs in NITD ,drinking can be classified into three levels. the capacity to consume alcohol and remain stable increases with the increase in level.
LEVEL I - At this level, ppl talk abt their studies,parents, how they ruin their studies, their career , blah blah.
LEVEL II - At this level, ppl talk abt their gf/bf,crushes,incidents and accidents in their life and some sort of other things
LEVEL III- At this level, ppl will drink to their capacities, get OUT and start crying. they will consume more alcohol and cry even more.
I dont knw abt any level IV becoz if it is there, it will a uncontrolable situation.
WHAT DO PEOPLE USUALLY DO WHEN THEY GET DRUNK?
vomit - ppl will vomit after they r drunk.they will drink again after they become somewht stable.
sleep- I ve seen ppl sleeping in Oval, Lords, Hostel Roofs, Jhoops, under trees until they r out of their hangovers.
reveal secrets-dil ki baatein bahar nikal aati hain.but some ppl still manage to keep their secrets
cry/get emotional- as i said b4 , level III is characterised by this action.
call their distant friends,girlfriend/boyfriends - ppl will call , whether they call from their own phones or phones of others
pakate hain, chaat-te hain , listen to hard rock or sad songs- what abt ppl saying "Bharat mata ki jai", "mujhe desh ke liye kuchh karna hai",saying tongue twisters, making u love guru.. phew the list is endless
speak in english- ppl will speak in english and try to learn all the vocab in an instant.
do weird actions-ppl will dance in silly manner,remove their clothes,curse the college,profs,ppl who ve dumped them
get violent-breaking window panes with their hands,throwing stones, hitting ppl actually.some will go to the common room and punch the TV screen .
Run a few miles- this was the most surprising reaction ever observed of a drunkard.
One more thing they will say every time ,i.e. "Main OUT nahi hoon".
Whatever I ve written above was not to hurt anybody's sentiments. whether is drinking is good or bad i cant say and nor i would like to comment upon.
But what will always remain in hearts of ppl of NIT-D is emptying of uncountable bottles and crates and all the memories associated with every occasion of drinking.
Not to forget the drinking sessions at SAM,SUPER,SURAVI,DH,CR,PI,LUXOR,DHABA,HOSTEL ROOFS,LORDS,OVAL,JUNGLE,JHOOPS,FESTS ,FESTIVALS,FRESHERS AND FAREWELLS and all those which i ve missed.
DEDICATED TO ALL THE DRUNKARDS OF NITD.....................CHEERS!!!!!
